About Dr Aifric Boylan

Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Dr Aifric Boylan is a general practitioner with more than 20 years’ experience. She graduated in medicine from Trinity College Dublin in 2002 and completed specialist GP training, earning fellowships of both the Irish and Royal Australian Colleges of General Practitioners. She continues to practise part-time as a family doctor in Melbourne, with special interests in women’s health (supported by her Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG) — and mental health. In 2016, Dr Boylan co-founded Qoctor, one of Australia’s first doctor-owned and doctor-led telehealth services — years before the pandemic brought telehealth into the mainstream. As CEO and Medical Director she leads the company and its clinical governance: the clinical protocols its doctors work to, the credentialing of its medical team, and the medical review of health information published across its websites. Under her direction, Qoctor’s clinical team have delivered more than 700,000 consultations.
